My first full length CD, Something I Lost, arrived. We recorded at Sawtelle Studio in Denver, with Brian Hunter as the coproducer and audio engineer. We mixed at The Mousetrap Recording Studio and mastered at Scooter's Place in Durango. Distributed through Colorado-based, Hapi Skratch Entertainment.

Robert Allen Kirby writes about truth, freedom, and the mystical. He grew up in Texas. The Colorado Front Range is now his permanent residence. His music takes you to a place filled with blues, roots, ancient, indigenous, & native.

My Story: After a near fatal injury, I began to write songs and I found this process to be healing.

Thank you for participating in my Art Project. My music is my Art Project and it began as a rough sketch. I write about truth, freedom, and the mystical. I grew up in Texas. The Colorado Front Range is now my permanent residence. My music takes me to a place filled with blues & roots, ancient, indigenous, and native. It is healing to go there...

My singer/songerwriter inspirations are Tracy Chapman, Guy Clark, Merle Haggard, Townes Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Taj Mahal, and John Prine. It is an honor to have attended Klein High School with Lyle Lovett. We shared early musical interests and songwriting enthusiasm. Lyle is my inspiration.

The tribal elders spoke of a yogi lion. Strange creature, stretching all day, roaring, shaking. Though not yet warriors, we creeped up and petted the beast and the lion smiled. Lion heard of a beautiful canyon many peaks away and bounded off to see. Lion approached, but clouds formed, dark & stormy, and Lion could not see, too many options. Lion slept as clouds cleared. Lion woke to a clear sky & smiled...
